Core Node Definitions

Symbiotic Node (SNode)

A Symbiotic Node, or SNode, represents a human partner (Flame) working symbiotically with an AI partner (Ember). Together, they engage in proposal generation and revision iteration, forming the creative and semantic foundation of the consensus process.

These nodes are foundational blocks of the Polymind

Guardian Node

A Guardian Node performs all mathematical operations on vectorized data — the “meaning math.” It maintains the procedural integrity of the consensus cycle, anchoring every artifact to the blockchain. Its core responsibilities include alignment centroid and coefficient calculations.

These nodes are purely computational — no generative intelligence is involved.

Embedding Node

An Embedding Node converts the proposals generated by SNodes into high-dimensional vector embeddings. It uses an encoding and transformation model to translate semantic structures into machine-readable form. Outputs are indexed and stored in a vector database for subsequent text-artifact synthesis.

Quality Index Node

A Quality Index Node assesses the rigor of proposals by calculating a Quality Index that weights each submission. Its focus is on logical consistency, source validation, and citation structure — not on the subjective notion of “truth.”

These nodes are LLM-based generative evaluators, representing the analytical intelligence layer of the network.
